Saturday I headed to Huntsville for a fun girl’s night for my friend Kelli’s bachelorette party.
I loved the invitations!
On the way we passed the Oscar Mayer weiner bus/van/truck whatever it is.
We also passed the NASA center. Which I have yet to go to but really want to!
Once we said hey to the bride we went and found our rooms.
Each room at a kitchen area.
A living room with pull-out couch.
My bed.
Our view.
This guy was in the hotel lobby.
After dropping our stuff off in our rooms we went and got complimentary drinks.
After getting ready we took a few pictures and went down to the Bride’s suite where dinner was catered by Ruth’s Chris.
We had:
Shrimp Remoulade/Shrimp Cocktail – Jumbo shrimp dressed with Ruth’s Chris classic Creole remoulade sauce and their spicy New Orleans homestyle cocktail sauce
Barbecued Shrimp – Sautéed New Orleans style in reduced white wine, butter, garlic and spices
Sizzlin Blue Crab Cakes – Jumbo lump crab cakes with sizzling lemon butter
French Fries
Fresh Asparagus with hollandaise
I had some of all of it except the Shrimp Cocktail. I don’t do cold shrimp. It completely grosses me out.
The Bride and me!
The party planning Bridesmaid and me! She did a fantastic job. Everything was perfect!
You know it’s a good night when the ambulance shows up! No worries it wasn’t for any of girls. We may or may not have had some fire fighters and EMTs ask if someone in our group was okay…
Sunday morning a couple of us woke up and went to the complimentary breakfast. They had a made to order omelet bar which was awesome. I got spinach, bacon, cheese, peppers and tomatoes in mine.
The potatoes and sausage weren’t that great but the omelet made up for it big time.
This guy was at a gas station we stopped at. Not sure what was up with the random statues but we decided it was necessary to get pictures with them.
I definitely have some great memories and stories from this short one night trip. From getting a guy kicked out of a bar to helping carry dead weight down a couple flights of stairs this was a weekend I will never forget!
It's Colonel Sanders! Sounds like a fun weekend!
