Currently - October 2012

Loving: iFontMaker is amazing! I have been having so much fun creating my own fonts. Also, this Bamboo Stylus makes drawing fonts a lot easier than using your finger.

Reading: Girls in White Dresses

Watching: Finished the 9th season of One Tree Hill on Netflix, A Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time and Revenge.

Anticipating: Cooler weather, it is almost November and still in the 80s...

Listening to: Silence. I have been driving with my car radio off. Sometimes it is nice to sit in the quiet.

Planning: Lots of wedding showers and parties.

Working on: Organizing my life and apartment. I need to manage my time better and start getting things done!

Wishing: For more time in a day. I have so much I need and want to do but there is never enough time.

Thankful: This month has shown me how blessed I am. Being scared of possibly losing someone I love so much was terrifying and eye opening. I have a wonderful family and friends and thank God for each of them everyday.

What are you currently loving, reading, watching, anticipating, listening to, planning, working on, wishing, etc.? What are you thankful for?

Perry's Bridesmaids Lunch & Rehearsal Dinner

After making jewelry we headed to the University Club for lunch. We all chose to eat off the buffet. I had a salad, potato salad, potatoes, carrots, zucchini, a salmon croquet and a corn bread muffin. For dessert Anna and I shared the double fudge chocolate cake. It was amazingly rich and delicious.

The rehearsal dinner was at The Loft in downtown.

Duet Art & Jewelry

Perry invited all of her bridesmaids and flower girls to make jewelry at Duet Art & Jewelry in downtown Tuscaloosa. We made earrings and a necklace to wear at the wedding. They all turned out great and were fun to make.

{books} A Game of Thrones

After 4 months I have finally finished reading A Game of Thrones. Don't let how long it took me to finish it fool you on how good it was. I can't wait to start the second book in the series, A Clash of Kings. I never would have thought I would enjoy reading a medieval/fantasy type book. But hey, you never know what might interest you until you start reading it.

A Game of Thrones is about several kingdoms fight for the throne (hence the title). Each chapter alternates different characters' points of view. I don't even know where to start. There is so much that takes place in this book. I am not even going to try to summarize it. I know, worst book review ever...

my life according to Instagram

1. I have been ordering lots of books from Amazon.com lately and adding them to my ever growing to-read pile of books.
2. Really old elevator buttons.
3. I finally went to Krispy Kreme after it was rebuilt. I couldn't wait until I got home to try one of the pumpkin spice donuts. It was delicious.
4. Cappuccino martini at 5 Java.
5. I loved how my hair was done for Perry's wedding, I did not love taking out the 52 hair pins holding it in place...

I got this idea from Daina's New State of Mind

Perry's Rehearsal Bouquet

I made Perry a felt flower bouquet for her wedding rehearsal. Here are the links to the flower tutorials I used:

Wish List - 1

{ 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 }

#1 is even cuter with your initials on it!

Eek! I made my first collage in Photoshop! I am little obsessed now... I could not get that darn gray to delete though. I used the polygonal lasso tool and it said something about no pixels are more than 50% selected and the selected edges will not be visible? Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

What's on your wish list lately?

{can't wait to get these developed!}

A month ago Trey was in one of his friend’s wedding. It was a lot of fun. They had the rehearsal dinner at Jim ‘N Nicks, the wedding at First Presbyterian Church and the reception at B & A Warehouse all in downtown Birmingham. I absolutely loved all of the lights.

Speaking of weddings, my best friend is getting married in 9 days!!!

Queen G's Cafe

Several weeks ago when I was in Mobile I was wanting some southern vegetables. Trey's dad told us about Queen G's. He had never eaten there but had heard it was good. The menu is limited and looked like it might change daily. The vegetables were really good. The atmosphere is like you are sitting in someone's grandmother's dining room. Very southern and homey. Dessert comes with your meal. You get the choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream and you can add chocolate or caramel syrup.
