Flashback: Lima, Peru Part 3

It has been a while since I have done a Flashback post but I really want to finish my recap of the trip that changed my life.

June 26, 2007

This morning we had to be ready at 8:30am. We met some people at El Marketo Central. But first we went to the missionaries’ home to stamp 1,200 Bibles. We took them to El Marketo and passed them out after Perry sang. People from a local church came to help us. The ladies gave us kisses on the cheek. That is a sign of friendship in Peru. So many people wanted the Bibles. We had a crowd and the Police came and surrounded us. After all the Bibles were gone we went to an inside shopping center to do a little shopping.

We went to the university for 2 hours. In our group only one person from last night came back but two new girls came. The teacher came back also. There was a protest parade in the streets.

For dinner, we went to Pizza Hut for dinner. Here Pizza Hut is a nice sit down restaurant. The menus had leather covers and a waitress came to your table wearing black pants and a white button up shirt. After dinner we left a tip. The waitress did not know what it was she thought we had forgotten our money.
