This is the last of the Lima Flashback posts. It is kind of sad. I had such a good time reminiscing while putting these together.

This morning we went to the Pachacamac Ruins. On the tour we first went to the place where the women stayed and learned. The second place was the Sun Temple. When we got to the top we could see the Pacific Ocean. Our tour guide, Marcello, had no arms. On one of his shoulders he had a hand with three fingers. He would point with his head and say, “BBBUUUT….”
What we called “el chupacabra”
Marcello was very friendly and a great tour guide.

For lunch we went to Bembos. The people that live in Lima compare it to McDonalds but they like Bembos better. It was ok. The fries were good. We went to the store where the candy vendors buy their candy to sell.
The university is closed today and tomorrow for a holiday. We met at a church with some of the students that could come. Not very many came and none of our group made it. We started out talking about families and ended up talking about a relationship with Christ. It was very good. Afterwards we went to the missionaries’ house for dinner. The lady that cleans and cooks for them twice a week cooked us wontons and fried rice. It was very very good.
We went to a beach. I can’t remember the name of it.
I did not want to leave. This is all of our luggage. I am pretty sure we all came back with twice as much stuff as we left with. I may or may not have thrown away some clothes to be able to fit more stuff in my suitcases.
