Target Shopping Spree

The past few days have been very productive! I got a lot of stuff done around my apartment.

bed

I turned my desk around so I am no longer facing a wall and can watch TV. I am liking it a lot more.

I bought a bookshelf from Target. It took me 2 hours too long to put together. I had to take it apart 3 times but finally got it right.

I bought the notebooks from Target and the box was from Trey for Valentine’s day.

notebooks

I bought the middle notebook too but decided I could do without the far left one. Target always has the cutest notebooks. Not the best thing for my school supply obsession.

rug

I also got this rug from Target. Have I mentioned I really love Target?

grill

I bought a grill today and some patio furniture. Both from Target. The furniture was on sale! Me and mom put it all together this afternoon and the chairs are really comfy.

FYI: Target did not pay me to write this post. Really wish they would have though.

All the warm Springy weather made me want to buy all this patio stuff. I will be trying out the grill tomorrow!

Blushing Mimosas & an Engagement Party

So a lot is going on in this post because a lot has gone on since last time I posted!

mardis gras wreath

Yeah… I’m still celebrating Mardi Gras. I have already taken down my wreath but hadn’t put the beads up yet.

I knew I had to try the Blushing Mimosa as soon as I saw the recipe in my inbox from My Recipes.

This weekend a few of my friends and myself threw Perry a surprise engagement party on Saturday! We have been planning it since the day she got engaged! I think it was a great success! First, we started with brunch at The Waysider.

We waited outside for about 45 minutes which was no big deal. They were packed. Hence, why I didn’t take a picture of the building myself. People were everywhere! Good sign right?

Half right, if that makes since. We got in and seated. Our waitress took our drink order and brought us all waters. Then we got overlooked for 45 minutes. Yes they were busy but people that were seated after us got their drinks, biscuits and food before us. Finally after asking someone else that wasn’t working just helping out we got our drinks and biscuits. They serve all you can eat little homemade biscuits while you wait for your food.

An hour after being seated we got our food. I ordered a short stack, 1/4 order hashbrowns and turkey bacon. The turkey bacon was terrible. The flavor was just gross. The hashbrowns were good. The pancakes were amazing. I would say The Waysider is more of an atmosphere type place. If you live in Tuscaloosa or visit for football games then it’s a place you should go at least once. It is 50/50 with the service though. I have been before and we had no problems at all and the food was great. If you have plenty of time I’d say give it a try but if you are in a hurry just run to the grocery store and make your own breakfast!

After brunch/lunch I had to waste time with Perry until time to head to the party. This was not hard at all since we are expert time wasters! We strolled around and shopped.

Here are some pictures from the party!

Home Office Ideas

I technically don’t have an “office” in my apartment. My desk is on one side of my bedroom. I have been looking for a new desk and here is what I have decided on.

The desk is from West Elm. I found one for a little less on Overstock it just isn’t as glossy white as the one from West Elm.

I first saw this desk on HRH. I love all of the white. You can kind of see the desk in the back.
